Titan Poker Review

Titan Poker first opened for business in 2005 and quickly grew in popularity to become one of the internet's top online poker sites. Titan Poker is a part of the iPoker network which is a group of poker sites and online casinos powered by Playtech software.

iPoker and Playtech have been around for a long time and Titan Poker has been able to use their experience to create a fun and secure environment for its own customers. If Titan poker ever starts accepting US players, it would have a real shot at becoming one of the top poker sites on the internet.

Titan Poker Bonus and Rewards Program

New Titan players are eligible for a 100% first time deposit bonus that's worth up to $500. This offer is open for all players when making their first deposit at Titan Poker. The bonus is released $5 increments every time players accumulate 600 Titan Poker Points. Make sure you use the Titan Poker Bonus Code IPB500 when signing up to receive your bonus.

Titan Poker Points are awarded to players for playing at real money cash games and tournaments. Cash game points are given based on how much rake is taken out of each hand and tournaments give players 17 points for every $1 paid in tournament fees. These points accumulate fast and they can also be used to gain entry to the Titan VIP Club.

The VIP Club is Titan's loyalty program that rewards players for staying and playing at Titan Poker. The VIP Club gives players additional perks such as faster points accumulation, entry into special tournaments, special bonus reload bonus terms and loyalty cash bonuses to name a few.

Titan Poker Software

The software at Titan Poker is about on par for most online poker sites. The tables are nice and clean which is a big plus for me. The lobby has the usual features like game sorting, table statistics and a buddy list (good for hunting fish).

Titan allows you to play up to 16 tables at a time which is nice for multi-tablers and action junkies. The software runs quickly while playing multiple tables but it's not as fast as it is at some other sites. Thanks to Playtech's solid game design, errors and disconnects are rare.

Overall the Titan Poker software is average. I didn't notice any glaring errors but also didn't find any innovative features. Everything works as promised, though, which is the most important thing for me.

Game Variety and Traffic

Titan Poker offers all the main poker games including Texas Holdem, Omaha Hi, Omaha Hi-Lo, 5 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud. Stakes are just as diverse with limit games starting as low as $ .02/.04 and going up to $300/$600. No limit games feature buy-ins ranging from $2 to $20,000.

As far as Traffic goes, Titan is doing well but still has some work to do in this area. It is one of the biggest non-US poker sites on the internet but the Stud games and high stakes games can get a little sparse at times. Luckily traffic is improving and thousands of players can be found online at any given time.

Titan Poker Tournaments

A lot of effort has been put in to give Titan Poker a huge selection of tournaments and special events. Hundreds of tournaments run every day with buy-ins ranging from $0 to $2,500.

One of the biggest tournaments Titan runs is the European Championship of Online Poker. This is actually a series of events that culminates in a main event with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,500,000. Last year's main event winner took home $315,000.

Titan Poker also runs several large weekly tournaments, the most popular of which being the Friday $150K Rebuy and the Sunday $250K freezeout. Another cool tournament promotion is the Fort Knox SNG Jackpot. If any player wins 6 Fort Knox sit-n-gos in a row, he or she will take home a massive jackpot that grows bigger every day.

Titan Poker Competition

The competition at Titan Poker is easier than most sites. This is probably because Titan has been actively working on signing up new players through the use of advertisements and sign up bonuses. With a higher percentage of new players joining Titan, the competition isn't too bad at all.

Recently, some players reporting that the middle and high stakes games aren't as soft as they used to be. As the site matures and reaches a steady player base, it will probably even out and become an "average competition" poker site. But that's all in the future and is still a big maybe. For now the games are soft so take advantage of it while you can.

TitanPoker.com Support and Security

Titan Poker has the best support team in the industry. In 2006 and 2007, Titan was awarded the gold medal by Gambling Online Magazine for the best customer service. Players can call, fax or e-mail customer support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The support phone numbers are displayed on every page which is a nice change from most poker sites that hide their support phone numbers.

Security is also top-notch at Titan Poker. They have been audited and licensed by Technical Systems Testing and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. These organizations have inspected Titan and stated that it is completely fair and operates in an ethical manner.
