Aced Poker Review
Aced Poker is one of the newest poker sites to hit the internet and is quickly becoming known for its sleek graphics and rewarding player promotions. Aced Poker joins the likes of Carbon Poker, Iron Duke Poker and Reefer Poker as the newest member of the Merge network.
Despite Aced Poker's young age, it already has a steadily growing fan base and offers a nice variety of poker games and tournaments. Add to that a hefty sign up bonus and Aced is a poker site that's definitely worth checking out.
Aced Poker Bonus and Rewards System
In order to attract new players, Aced has rolled out a nice 200% match bonus that's good for up to $1000. To earn the max bonus, just deposit $500 or more and Aced will drop an extra $1000 in your poker account. This is a sweet deal indeed and probably won't last forever so make sure you hit it up before it disappears. Simply visit the site here and use the Aced Poker Bonus Code ACED100 to get your bonus.
Aced has also recently unveiled its "Outs" program that has sparked a lot of interest already. The Outs program rewards players for accomplishing certain tasks such as getting four of a kind, winning three hands in a row, building a 500 big-blind stack in a no limit cash game and other things.
It strongly reminds me of earning Achievements on the X-Box 360 because as you accomplish these feats, you win points that can be used to enter into tournaments, get items from the Aced store and more.
There is also a VIP Club that rewards players for earning points on a monthly basis. There are four levels to the VIP club that are based on how many points you earn each month. The first level is open to all players and includes basic features like 24/7 support and $50 freeroll tournaments. The highest VIP level is reserved for the most dedicated poker players and has some very nice perks including complimentary concierge service and huge bonus offers.
Aced.com Software
The Aced software has a dark, sleek design that gives it a stylish modern look - it's actually quite impressive. It also features vector graphics that don't become grainy when you resize the lobby and tables.
The software is also packed with all the standard features you would expect on a poker site plus a few neat extras like these:
- Expose 1 Card - this allows you to show just one hole card if you want to confuse your opponents
- Rabbit Hunting - lets you peak at the top card on the deck after the hand is finished
- Deal-it-Twice - feature that will let two players who are all-in have the option to have the turn and river cards dealt twice
Because Aced is a part of the Merge network, it was built on software that has already been used by online casinos for a long time. This means most of the errors and bugs were worked out a long time ago. As a result Aced is a solid poker site that shouldn't give you any problems at all.
AcedPoker Game Variety and Traffic
Aced boasts a nice variety of poker games including Texas Holdem, Omaha, 5 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo, Razz, 5 Card Draw, 2-7 Triple Draw, Badugi and H.O.R.S.E.
Table limits at Aced are accessible to players of all size with limit games ranging from $.10/.20 to $100/$200 and no-limit games ranging from $.10/.25 ($25 buyin) to $25/50 ($5,000 buyin). These stakes don't go as high as some other sites do but Aced will probably add higher buyins over time as the player base grows.
Aced is still a growing site so player traffic is still a little low compared to some of the other bigger poker rooms. Luckily Aced shares traffic with the Merge network so there's usually a pretty decent number of players on every day. Peak times bring in anywhere between 8,000 and 10,000 players so you'll still find plenty of tables to play at.
Tournaments
Aced works hard to provide a nice selection of tournaments for players of all types. Buyins range from $0 to $500 with a mixture of freezeout tournaments, guaranteed prize pools and satellite tournaments that can earn you entry to major events like the World Series of Poker for as little as $2. Other tournament types include shootouts, bounty tournaments, turbos, rebuys and sit-n-gos.
Aced Poker Competition
Thanks to Aced being one of the smaller sites at the moment, competition is fairly soft in cash games and tournaments. Most of the poker sharks like to play at bigger sites where they can play multiple tables at a time against more opponents. It's possible the competition will grow tougher as Aced matures but for now it's a soft site and is a good place to pick up some easy cash.
Aced.com Support and Security
Aced has an average support team that can be reached 24/7, 365 via an online form message, e-mail and live chat. The site doesn't offer a public phone number which would be nice but most poker sites don't either. I'm not sure why they don't just add a phone line but they probably aren't ready to donate the extra resources to staffing a 24 hour phone center in multiple languages.
Things look better on the security side, though. As a member of the reputable Merge network, Aced is held to high standards and is highly unlikely to pull any shady moves. On top of that, they are licensed with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, an organization that verifies the reputability of many online gaming operations.
Deposit and Withdrawal Options
U.S. players have a few options as they can deposit via Visa, MasterCard and eCheck. Hopefully more deposit options will become available when the US government relaxes its stance on online poker.
International players have a few more options including ClickandBuy, Entropay, Fonelinx, NETeller, Pic-Club, wire transfer, Click2Pay, ECO, eWalletXpress and Moneybookers.
